Privacy Policy
ClipHeron processes your videos on your own device. This policy covers the small amount of other data involved in running a free, ad-funded website, and the choices you have.
Summary
Processed on your device. Your video is never uploaded. ClipHeron runs in your browser. We don’t receive your videos, their names or anything in them. Ads on this page load separately and are not given your files.
- No accounts. We never ask for your name, email address or payment details to use a tool.
- Pages are funded by Google ads. Google and its partners may use cookies, including for personalized ads where you agree.
- Only settings are saved on your device (your theme and tool options), never files, file names, durations or thumbnails. Temporary output files are deleted when a job ends.
Who we are
This website, clipheron.com (“ClipHeron”, “we”, “us”), is operated by Infinity Square Labs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16880965), registered office 483 Green Lanes, London, N13 4BS, United Kingdom. Infinity Square Labs Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, email privacy@clipheron.com.
Your videos
The tools run as code in your browser tab. The video you choose is read from your device, processed in a background thread on your device (using your device’s own video hardware where the browser allows), and the result is written back to your device for you to download. The file, its name, its contents and its metadata are never sent to our servers, and we have no servers that could receive them. While a job runs, the output is held in the browser’s private temporary storage for this site and is deleted when you download it, clear it, or the next time a tool page loads. The how it works page describes two tests you can run to confirm this, and our release tests record every network request during processing to make sure it stays true.
Because pages also carry advertising and analytics scripts, which run in the same page, we don’t claim the tools are isolated from those scripts by the browser; we state what is technically true: the tools never put your files, names or frames into any request, into the page document, or into any analytics event.
Hosting and security logs
The site is static and hosted on Cloudflare’s network. When your browser requests a page, the engine file or an image, Cloudflare necessarily processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the address requested and the time, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don’t use this to identify you. Cloudflare handles it under its own privacy policy and retention periods.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand use in aggregate: pages visited, referring sites, and broad device, browser and country information. It doesn’t use cookies or build a profile of you. If we measure how the tools are used, we record only event names and broad categories (for example “MP4, 10 to 100 MB, 1 to 5 minutes, hardware encoder, finished”), never file names, exact sizes, exact durations, timecodes, metadata or anything from the content.
Advertising and cookies
ClipHeron is free because pages show a small number of ads served by Google AdSense. Ads appear only in labelled spaces, never inside a tool, next to a drop zone, progress bar or download button, and never on legal pages. Ads do not refresh while a job is running.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our visitors based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. If you do, or if you don’t give consent, you may still see non-personalized ads based on the page you’re viewing; these can still use cookies or similar technologies for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.
- For more on how Google uses data, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Google may process technical data such as your IP address, device identifiers and cookie IDs to deliver and measure ads and detect invalid activity. We block categories of ads that don’t belong on a tools site, such as get-rich-quick and dating offers, and creatives designed to look like download buttons. Our cookie policy lists what may be set.
Your consent choices
If you visit from the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before non-essential cookies or similar technologies are used for advertising, through a Google-certified consent management platform. You can accept, reject, or choose by purpose and vendor, and change your mind at any time using the privacy settings link provided with the consent message or by clearing this site’s cookies. Visitors in US states with privacy laws may be shown a notice about opting out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. The tools work the same whatever you choose, and with an ad blocker.

If you email us
We receive your email address, your message and anything you include, and use them only to reply and deal with your request. We keep correspondence for as long as needed for that and any follow-up, normally no more than two years, unless the law requires longer. Please don’t send videos: we never need them.
Legal bases (UK GDPR)
- Consent: advertising cookies and personalized ads where consent is required.
- Legitimate interests: running and securing the site (hosting logs, cookieless analytics), showing non-personalized ads that fund the free service, and replying to messages.
- Strictly necessary storage: remembering a theme or tool setting you choose, and holding a job’s output on your own device while it runs.
Sharing and international transfers
We don’t sell personal data. The only organizations that process data in connection with the site are Cloudflare (hosting and analytics) and Google (advertising) and, where you consent, Google’s advertising partners. Some process data outside the UK, including in the United States, under safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum, as set out in their terms. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for access to the personal data we hold about you, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests; you can withdraw consent at any time. Email privacy@clipheron.com and we’ll respond within one month. Because we never receive your videos and have no accounts, we usually hold very little that can identify you.
Complaints
Please tell us first so we can put things right. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. In the EEA you can contact your local data protection authority.
Children
ClipHeron is a general-purpose tool site and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We’ll update this policy if the way the site works changes, and record significant changes in the changelog. Effective date: October 23, 2026.
